Just Another Random Blog Post

Haven’t posted anything in a long while.  Been busy.  Also, just seems like I’m repeating myself.  In fact, saying it feels like I’m repeating myself feels like I’m just repeating myself.

Still, I am alive, and I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still drawing oxygen.  And while I’m at it, I might as well throw in a few offhand comments.

I’m sorta famous.  That still blows my mind.  Sure, I’m not Jim Varney famous, but I do have a Wikipedia page (woefully out of date, but still there) and I do have 6 (soon to be 7) published books to my name.  In the right circles, I’m even recognizable.  Crazy, isn’t it?

To Love and Lose

Hey, guess what?  Dollhouse’s ratings are still pretty low.  I say this without judgment.  I haven’t really enjoyed the show (what little I’ve seen of it), but I’m just one guy.  I never enjoyed a single thing about Gilmore Girls, and that did pretty well.  So what do I know?

Things get cancelled.  Great things.  We all know this.  So why is it that some things evoke a fan-based delirium and some don’t?  Beats the hell out of me.

I know, Whedon fans, how you adore him.  How Firefly was apparently the greatest show ever created (although it really wasn’t on long enough to prove it), but really, I wish you’d just get over it.

A Touch of Evil /Something Wicked: A Game Review

I bought A Touch of Evil when it first came out.  It seemed like a lighter Arkham Horror co-op game with a fun theme.  Being a fan of Hammer horror, I couldn’t resist.  I’ve enjoyed Flying Frog’s previous game Last Night on Earth, but it never really wowed me.  Still, I was impressed enough by that game and intrigued enough by the concept of A Touch of Evil to give it a go.

Musings

Y’know what sucks?  Seeing someone you used to be close to but now have mixed feelings about throwing their life away.  What’s worse is that some small part of you, some tiny li’l bastard in your heart-of-hearts, enjoys it.

So the various Republicans caught in affairs keep calling for everyone to just ignore it and respect their privacy.  Although these very same people said Clinton should step down or be impeached for his own indiscretion.  I could call it hypocritical, but why bother?

Sarah Palin.  Supergirl.  Two characters I wish would stop being sold to me as relevant or interesting when they just aren’t.
