"Holy crap I'm on A. Lee Martinez's website. Ok, just be cool, don't freak out."
"Hey Mr. Martinez...did I pronounce that right? Mar-tee-nez? I just finished reading Monster, and now I think you might be god..."
”I said STAY COOL!”
“I mean, yeah your books are ok, I guess. So far I have read Gils All Fright Diner, In the Company Of Ogres, A Nameless Witch, and as I said, I just finished Monster…So are you like, an alien or something?
“That’s it you’re on your own, freak out all you want, I’m done here. You scare off your new favorite author, I’ll see if we have any beer in the fridge.”
“I can’t wait to read Too Many Curses, and Divine Misfortune, keep up the great work!”
“That was actually normal for a change, good job!”
“Normal, as in typing lines for the voice on my head?”
“Well, “normal” for you.”
“Thanks…I guess.”
“What? No, no I’m perfectly harmless. I’m Canadian, so I’m a little goofy, Eh.”
“You blew it, he’s walking away. What the hell was that? You used the biggest Canadian stereotype ever!”
“Sorry, I panicked!”
“And, why did you mention all his books except The Automatic Detective?”
“Oh crap, I forgot that one!”
“Sooo, yeah I’d like to read The Automatic Detective as well. Mr. Martinez? Damn it he’s gone.”
“Told ya so, nice job you “Canadian” freak.
“Shut up.”
“Make me.”
“…”

I agree... Monster could be an ongoing character... it could be your Dresden Files... or Anita Blake run... The character was just amazing... and the story mixed with your humor was off the charts. Being a primarly mystery reader, I am very glad that I picked this up, it had everything I could want from a story and more.
P.S - if I ever win the lotto... I want movie and tv rights :)

I loved it. The characters are actually more than two dimensional, while still having a whimsy to them that is very enjoyable.
Based on this book and Gil's All Fright Diner, I have now purchased every book you've published and will read them within the week.
Thanks for creating something awesome!
